Douglas Tham has over seven years of experience conducting and analyzing quantitative and qualitative research. As a Specialist at International Development Group LLC, he provides technical support for the Economics and Market Development (EMD), Resilience, Environment, and Food Security (REFS), Inclusive Growth, Partnerships, and Innovation (IPI), and Inclusive Development Hub (IDH), and several USAID Mission activities. Additionally, he handles day-to-day project operations to support field office staff and administrative, financial, and logistic support to various teams on USAID Technical Assistance Project for Economic Growth (TAP EG) projects. Before IDG, Mr. Tham worked as an Economic and Litigation consultant for Bates White Economic Consulting; he conducted mixed-method research and analysis and drafted litigation materials. This role propelled Mr. Tham’s research analysis capabilities as he spearheaded the creation of datasets to advance research competitive analysis. Before that, Mr. Tham served as a researcher and analyst in various roles, which have advanced his skills in a breadth of research assistantship tasks and responsibilities. In addition to this prior experience, Mr. Tham has undertaken and earned certifications, including Choosing Data Collection Methods from the International Rescue Committee (2019) and Design, Monitoring, and Evaluation from the United States Institute of Peace (2022). Mr. Tham earned his Master of Science in International Relations from the University of Amsterdam in 2016 and his Bachelor of Arts in Politics and Media from Bournemouth University in 2015.
