Becoming a Member

 

How do I become a member?

In order to become a member, all you need to do is click the Membership tab at the top of our home page. You will be directed to a page outlining both the individual and Institutional Member dues structures. Click the membership you would like to receive and fill out the form. You can either pay online via credit card or mail the member registration form to SID-US directly with a check.

How do I register for an event?

In order to register for an event, you may click on the event under the upcoming events section on our homepage or in our events section. This will take you to a description of the event. On the left, there will be a link that says “Register,” click here.
 
Note: Institutional Member Only events registration may only be confirmed by emailing [email protected].
 

Can non-members attend events?

Non-members are welcome to attend all SID-US Public Events. However, some SID-US events are closed to non-members or may have a cost associated for non-members to attend.
 

Are recordings of the events available?

Yes, all Public Events are recorded and the recordings are available on our YouTube channel. Members Only events and Institutional Members Only events may be recorded at the organizers' discretion and recordings will be available only to SID-US members by request. To request recordings for Members Only or Institutional Members Only events, please email us at [email protected]
 

How do I receive the Newsletter?

You can sign up for our weekly Newsletter at the bottomr of our homepage, where it says, "Sign up for the SID-US Newsletter". Enter your email address here to receive our mailings. You do not have to be a member to receive the Newsletter, which is sent out every Monday.
 

Who can post things in the newsletter?

Only our current Institutional Members can post items (news, announcements, project updates, job listings, etc) in our weekly Newsletter. If your organization is not an Institutional Member, you may request via email to have the information shared through our social media (Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook). Items from non-members will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
 

When do I have to send in my information for it to be included in the Newsletter?

All information must be sent in through this Newsletter form by 5pm ET on Friday's to be included in the following Monday's Newsletter.

What if I forgot my username and password?

You can use the “request new password” option when attempting to login. If you still cannot access your account, call SID-US directly at (202) 331-1317 and one of our staff can reset it for you.
 

I have not received my copy of the Development Journal, what should I do?

SID-US members only receive hard copies of the Development Journal during their first year of membership. After the first year, you will receive online versions. SID International handles the publication and distribution of the Development Journal, but for online access, you can visit their website at www.sidint.net and login using the same login information you use for the SID-US website.
