Ignacio Jáuregui practices in the area of business and finance at Hogan & Hartson, with particular emphasis on project and corporate finance in Latin America. Prior to joining Hogan & Hartson, Ignacio worked as an associate at a major Bolivian law firm in La Paz, where he advised international and domestic companies on civil law and civil procedure, intellectual property, customs, and tax matters. He also advised international and domestic companies and financial institutions on corporate and commercial matters in general and also in the energy, manufacturing, brewery, mining, and food retail sectors. Ignacio also provided direct legal counsel and drafted contracts, incorporation agreements, by-laws, and corporate documents. He was deeply involved in the drafting of agreements and related documents in connection with Bolivia’s largest pre-2001 merger.
