Max currently serves as the first director of the Alliance to End Hunger, whose mission is to engage diverse institutions in the effort to build the public will to end hunger. He previously served Ambassador and former Congressman Tony Hall for 12 years in a variety of capacities – Special Assistant at the US Mission to the UN Agencies for Food and Agriculture in Rome, Italy, Senior Legislative Assistant for hunger and poverty on Capitol Hill and founding Program Director of the Mickey Leland Hunger Fellows Program at the Congressional Hunger Center.
Max is a graduate of Howard University School of Divinity and Tufts University. He is a Harry Truman Scholar from New York, an Eagle Scout, and has lived and studied overseas. He has traveled to almost 50 countries on five continents.
