Ms. Cristina Manfre welcomed the attendees and gave a background to the “Beijing 20+” series. The series is being held in recognition of the 20th anniversary of the 1995 UN World Conference on Women and Platform for Action in Beijing. Each month, the SID-GID Workgroup is hosting an event whose topic aligns with a point of concern from the Platform for Action. Ms. Manfre then introduced the moderator, Ms. Lisa Ronér.
