Rodney Bent is a former President of SID-Washington (now SID-United States). He was Director of the UN Secretary General’s office in Washington from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that he was a Senior Advisor at the U.S. Department of State and an Executive Advisor at Booz Allen Hamilton. He held several positions at the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), including Acting Chief Executive Officer, from 2005 to 2009. Before joining the MCC, he was a professional staff member at the House Appropriations Committee. From 2003 to 2004 he served as the Senior Advisor to the Iraqi Ministry of Finance and the Iraqi Ministry of Planning for the Coalition Provisional Authority in Baghdad, Iraq. Mr. Bent spent 20 years at the U.S. Office of Management and Budget, where his final position was Deputy Associate Director for the International Affairs Division. Mr. Bent also held positions at Bankers Trust Company and at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. He received an M.B.A. from Cornell University, an M.A. from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, and an A.B. in History from Cornell University.
